A longtime business in the city of Beverly Hills is calling out the Beverly Hills Chamber of Commerce for attempting to charge an exorbitant “fee” for the mayor to attend a ribbon-cutting ceremony.

Kitson Los Angeles is celebrating its 25th Anniversary and extended an invitation to Beverly Hills Mayor Sharona R. Nazarian to make an appearance. The owner was then routed to the Beverly Hills Chamber of Commerce, which wanted a $2500 appearance fee.

Should the nonprofit be investigated to determine what is done with the $522K? Also, the Chamber is involved with Love BH, is that organization being funneled money by the city? As one of our clients said, there are more Kitson bags walking around BH than from any other retailer, other than the powerhouse Erewhon. What a lovely compliment.
