The Scottsdale City Council is expected to approve during tonight’s meeting a lawsuit settlement for $50,000 with a man who tripped over a raised sidewalk.
Stanley Greenleaf was originally seeking $750,000 for the accident, according to city records.
“As a direct and proximate cause of (the city’s) negligence, (Greenleaf) sustained physical injuries and damages including medical expenses, pain and suffering, lost wages, damage to his own property and other pecuniary damages, both past and future,” Greenleaf’s initial complaint states.
But the city responded saying in its response, “(The city) alleges that any and all of (Greenleaf’s alleged injuries and damages may be the result in whole or in part of the negligent, improper or otherwise wrongful acts or omissions of of other parties or
