KNOXVILLE, Tenn. — Voters across the city of Knoxville cast their ballots in the 2025 municipal primary.

The non-partisan election is centered on choosing new council members. Five seats on the nine-member board are on the ballot. They include Districts 1, 2, 3, 4 and 6.

All of the incumbents in those districts have reached their two-term limit and cannot run for re-election. The top two vote winners in the primary within each district move on to square off against each other in the general election on Nov. 4.
