WILLIAMSPORT, Pa. — With helmets and pads, all of these Lycoming College football players tend to blend together. Look a little closer, and one player stand out. Defensive lineman Tom Cillo is 58-years-old.
The Williamsport native says his life never lead him in the direction of college or football, but after raising a family, he decided to finally chase that dream.
"I thought I'm gonna give this a shot and and I'm gonna write the script. I'm not gonna let somebody talk me out of this or self-doubt pull me back," Cillo said.
Through some connections, Cillo reached out to head football coach Mike Clark about trying out for the team. When coach Clark realized how serious Cillo was, it convinced him to give it a shot.
