BREWER, Maine — Union leaders are making stops across the nation advocating for workers' rights ahead of Labor Day. Dozens gathered in Brewer as part of the "It's Better in a Union" Bus Tour , which made its 41st stop at the Eastern Maine Labor Council .
"There's a major attack on workers; there's also a major attack on unions," Cynthia Phinney, the President of Maine AFL-CIO , said.
Earlier this year, President Donald Trump signed an executive order cancelling union contracts for thousands of federal workers.
"Collective bargaining agreements should be honored," Phinney said.
The AFL-CIO , which is made up of 63 unions and represents close to 15 million workers nationwide, organized the bus tour.
"It's important for workers to speak out and to say what they see happening in t
