COLUMBUS, Ga. (WRBL) — If you’re looking to adopt from Paws Humane Society, here are some things to know. The local no-kill shelter is still in crisis, with hundreds of dogs in desperate need of adoption.

Adoptable dogs are available through Paws Humane Society and its animal services division, which was formerly Columbus Animal Care and Control. Photos and information about dogs including age, weight, breed and more can be found through the Paws website.

According to shelter staff, although you can fill out an application online, it may be faster to start the process at the shelter in person.
