GLENVILLE, W.Va. (WBOY) — State Treasurer Larry Pack paid a visit to Glenville's Minnie Hamilton Health System Clinic on Tuesday to deliver a substantial check of unclaimed property.
A check for $50,231.27 was handed to CEO of Minnie Hamilton Health Systems Stephen Whited for funds discovered by State Treasurer Larry Pack's office through its unclaimed property program.
12 News spoke with Whited about what the health system will use the funds for.
"I haven't really thought too much about it, but we'll probably put it in the bank right now. We certainly have some areas with our new projects. Equipment is always breaking down, try to figure out with that, but certainly $50,000 that's a lot of money right in this day in age. We'll definitely put that to use," Whited said.
