BOISE, Idaho — The downtown Boise library is hosting a celebration to “say goodbye” to its first floor on Tuesday, Aug. 26, from 4-6 p.m., according to a news release.

The ground floor of the downtown library is scheduled for renovations beginning in September. The library will be closed for the first week of the month, reopening with access to the second and third floors.

According to the library’s website, the construction includes adding family restrooms to the Youth Services area and updating electrical, plumbing and heating systems. The website also says changes are also being made to comply with the Americans with Disabilities Act.
