Everything seemed to be good when Brian Burkheiser departed metal band I Prevail in May. However, a recent development concerning his new musical project shows that might not be the case.

The vocalist posted on his personal Instagram account on Monday that his former band is preventing him from releasing music under his new moniker, Scatterbrain. “Due to an unresolved dispute with my former band, I Prevail, I am being blocked from releasing my song ”Phases," as well as other new music,” wrote Burkheiser. “I’m deeply disappointed, but I’m doing everything I can to move things forward. I want to thank my family, friends, and most importantly, my fans for their unwavering support.”
