Starting Sept. 3, McDonald's officials said customers can enjoy its new "special edition gold sauce," which is a blend of vinegary North Carolina BBQ sauce, infused with notes of honey, smoke and mustard.

On top of the sauce lineup, McDonald's is introducing four "fan-favorite" chicken menu items, such as the Special Edition Gold Snack Wrap, which includes McCrispy Strips, shredded cheese, lettuce, and the new sauce, all for less than $3, according to McDonald's website.
