Colleagues were able to provide fast CPR and transport Officer Maria Sierra to a nearby trauma center in Sacramento on August 21, according to WPD.

Sierra's medical emergency is currently being determined if it is a work-related injury, and as a result, her family is facing unexpected financial burdens. A GoFundMe was set up to ease that burden and provide Sierra and her family with the support they need during this time.
