RAPID CITY, S.D. (KELO) -- An over $5 million project is now done in Rapid City.
A new water booster station opened up in the eastern part of town to provide water to the growing part of the city.
The Shepherd Hills Water Booster Station will provide water to over 3,000 people as well as commercial properties in the area.
"This zone here is higher elevation than some of the other areas of town. So we're pulling water from that area up to this area to maintain system pressure so you can have proper pressure for your shower, your laundry and all the uses that you have in your home," RC Water Superintendent Eric Boyda said.
