ADA COUNTY, Idaho — Ada County appointed John Blake as the new paramedic chief, effective in November. Blake was most recently the deputy chief of operations, where he worked with more than 130 paramedics.
Blake has worked for more than 26 years in the field, including as co-lead of the department's COVID-19 response.
“I am honored to continue serving the citizens of Ada County as Chief Paramedic,” Blake said. “It has been my privilege to work alongside so many skilled and dedicated professionals, and I look forward to carrying forward the shared vision of excellence while adding my own commitment to ensuring that our EMS system remains both compassionate and efficient.”
