SALT LAKE CITY (ABC4) — The Red Cross of Utah and the National Safety Council are urging drivers to prepare their vehicles ahead of Labor Day travel.

The National Safety Council (NSC) estimates that there will be almost 425 traffic-related deaths and 48,000 injuries throughout the nation during Labor Day weekend, from Friday, August 29, to Monday, September 1. Additionally, travelers will likely experience increased traffic during the weekend.
