HONOLULU (HawaiiNewsNow) - The iconic Stan Sheriff Center has been renamed ahead of the start of the Rainbow Wahine volleyball season.

Bank of Hawaii announced Tuesday morning that the venue‘s new name is the Bankoh Arena at Stan Sheriff Center.

The rebranding is part of a 10-year, $5 million partnership with the University of Hawaii at Manoa.

It was formerly known as the SimpliFi Arena at Stan Sheriff Center.

New signage will be installed in the facility by the end of the week.

The UH women’s volleyball season begins Friday at 7 p.m. with a match against Marquette University.
