HONOLULU (HawaiiNewsNow) - Lt. Gov. Sylvia Luke was joined by students and state leaders Tuesday morning to proclaim September as Digital Aloha Month.
Serving as Acting Governor while Josh Green is out of state, she announced the initiative to promote responsible internet use and spread awareness about cyber crime.
In her remarks, Luke urged the public to be cautious about any potential scams or misinformation.
She spoke about how older internet users are more susceptible to falling prey to misinformation online than younger generations, who she said have grown up to be more skeptical.
