JACKSONVILLE, Texas (KETK) -- The City of Jacksonville hosted its annual job fair on Tuesday for the ninth consecutive year, offering a variety of job opportunities to East Texans.

The event was organized in partnership with Workforce Solutions of East Texas, the Jacksonville Chambers of Commerce and Jacksonville Economic Development, bringing together 40 employers eager to hire new talent.

"This is small-town Texas at its best because as a team we're coming together and we're reaching out to our local citizens," Nathan Jones, Vice Chairman of Economic Development, said.

In years past, this job fair has served as the first step for many individuals looking for employment or considering a career change.
