SEATTLE — A Christian worship concert and rally planned for this weekend at Gas Works Park is drawing strong opposition from LGBTQ+ leaders who say the event spreads bigotry under the guise of religion.

City officials, however, say they cannot block the gathering because it is protected under the First Amendment.

The rally is part of the “Revive in ’25” tour led by Sean Feucht, a California-based singer and preacher who rose to prominence during the COVID-19 pandemic by organizing large “Let Us Worship” concerts in defiance of public health restrictions. Feucht has since toured cities across the country, often promoting his events as missions to what he calls “America’s darkest, most broken cities.”
