RENTON, Wash. — A Renton family is pleading with the public to stop driving impaired after losing their loved one in a crash they say never should have happened.
On Aug. 10, Jim Laremore was hit by a suspected impaired driver along Maple Valley Highway. He was rushed to the hospital in critical condition with a broken neck, broken ribs, and punctured lungs. For two weeks, his daughter, Pamela Armenta, stayed by his side.
“It’s been literal hell,” she said. “It’s been awful.”
On Monday, Laremore died from his injuries. His family said their grief is immeasurable and they don’t want any other family to endure the same pain.
“My dad was probably the nicest person you’ve ever met,” Armenta said.
