CARBON COUNTY, Utah (ABC4) — One woman is dead after side-swiping a semitruck on SR-6 on Tuesday morning.

In the morning of Tuesday, August 26, a white Toyota Sequoia was traveling eastbound on SR-6. Near milepost 231, the Toyota collided with a semitruck that was travelling westbound.

According to the Utah Department of Public Safety (DPS), the Toyota had crossed the centerline when it sideswiped the semi. The semi came to a stop on the eastbound shoulder, while facing west.

The Toyota went off the road from the eastbound lane, going through a guardrail and off an embankment. Additionally, during the collision, the driver's door was ripped open, and the driver was ejected. The vehicle ended up overturned, with the driver pinned underneath.
