NORFOLK, Va. — The Old Dominion women’s basketball team spent part of their offseason on the West Coast, turning their trip to Los Angeles into both a team-building experience and a celebration of their head coach’s legacy.
The Monarchs attended the Los Angeles Sparks vs. New York Liberty game on August 12, at Crypto.com Arena. During the game, the Sparks honored ODU head coach DeLisha Milton-Jones with a tribute video played at the end of the third quarter. Milton-Jones, a former Sparks standout and two-time WNBA champion (2001, 2002), received a warm ovation from the hometown crowd.
