ROCKWALL, Texas — Note: A GoFundMe page has been started to help the family with funeral expenses for Rymedi.

A 36-year-old North Texas man has been arrested and charged with Injury to a Child, a second-degree felony, after a 6-month-old baby was found dead on Tuesday afternoon in a vehicle parked at Rockwall Heath High School.

Her family tells WFAA her name is Rymedi Worth and that the man charged in connection with her death is her own step-grandfather.

“That was the most precious gift that we actually got into the family," family member Ebony Frazier told WFAA. “That baby was considered everybody’s baby, joyful, beautiful, and when she cried Cam could get her to be quiet.”
