PORTLAND, Ore. — A man has been sentenced to almost six years after shooting another man using a slingshot, hitting him in the back with a barbed dart.
A judge sentenced 40-year-old Joseph Naes to 70 months in prison. Naes was sentenced for both the dart incident, as well as assaulting and harassing his wife in a separate domestic violence incident, according to the Multnomah County District Attorney's Office.
On July 17, 2024, Naes used a slingshot to fire a 6-inch dart into the back of another man, Logan Sharp, on the MAX platform on 16155 Burnside Street.
