SALISBURY — When the Historic Salisbury Foundation sold the Salisbury Depot to the city, it left the organization without a home, as the foundation has had their offices in the building for decades.

The foundation now has an agreement with the Maxwell Chambers Trust to utilize the Utzman-Chambers or Maxwell Chambers House on South Jackson Street as both their offices and as a small events space.

“We were looking around for other spaces, and it came to our attention that the (Rowan) Museum had decided to leave the Utzman-Chambers House. I had been president of the Rowan Museum for 10 years, so I had a huge affection for the house,” said HSF President Ed Norvell.
