HONOLULU (HawaiiNewsNow) - Rainbow Warriors quarterback Micah Alejado is expected to play in the team’s upcoming road game against Arizona this weekend, according to head coach Timmy Chang.

The update comes days after the lefty QB went down early in the second half of the UH season opener against Stanford, but eventually came back to finish the game.

Alejado was at practice Tuesday morning, but didn’t participate in any drills.

“He’s been kind of aggressive on his rehab process, and then again, there’s a game plan that has to go in and so he’s dialed in,” Chang said of Alejado.

“He’s been here all day Sunday, all day Monday, and so now Tuesday, he’s got a process in which he’s got to go through and so as long as it continually gets better, you know, we’re expecting him to go,” Chang a
