KNOXVILLE, Tenn. (WVLT) - Good morning friends! We’re starting the day a bit chilly for some, pleasant for others and looking ahead to a stunning afternoon for all of us. Temperatures will get into the upper 70s this afternoon.

WEDNESDAY: It’s a mostly sunny afternoon. Grab the shades, that’s what you’ll need through sunset at 8:10 p.m. this evening. We’ll have a light NE wind all day. High temperatures will range from 79 in Knoxville to 74 in Crossville.

THURSDAY: Thursday starts with a few more clouds around and temperatures back into the mid 50s. The clouds around for Thursday afternoon won’t be much of a threat. Rain chances are away until the weekend. High temperatures on Thursday are back near 80.
