PEMBROKE — Tim Yaeger, coordinator of the Genesee County Office of Emergency Management, was home on a rare day off Friday when his phone buzzed with an alert: a tour bus carrying 54 passengers had rolled over on the New York State Thruway.
“Your mind is racing,” he said. “As soon as I saw the call on my phone I knew this was going to be a severe incident where a lot of resources were going to be requested to be utilized.”
