Months after his arrest and subsequent suspension from his Aiken law firm, William Daniel "Danny" Mayes will face one of his alleged victims in civil court. According to her lawsuit, she learned she had been among the children he allegedly secretly recorded as they undressed in his Folly Beach condominium.

The woman filed a lawsuit in Charleston County on Aug. 25 against Mayes, his wife and the firm where he was previously employed. The filing alleges that Mayes disseminated child sexual abuse material that he recorded himself using the computers and servers owned by the Aiken-based real estate and family law firm Smith Massey Brodie & Guynn.
