The Lenoir-Rhyne men's soccer team has been predicted to finish first in the South Atlantic Conference this season, as selected by the conference coaches.
In addition to the team honor, Guillermo Garcia and David Grifell were named to the Preseason All-SAC First-Team, while Arnau Ollie was named a player to watch.
The Bears, coached by Carlos Rubio, finished with an 8-8-1 (5-5-1) record and made a run to the conference title game. LR took down Anderson and nationally ranked Coker on the way to the title game. Rubio also had a successful summer guiding Hickory FC to the National Premier Soccer League National Title.
