The Lynchburg area has several outdoor activities to take part in this weekend. The Lynchburg Hillcats host a "Star Wars"-themed night, Bedford County exhibitors will show off their livestock at the county fair and the Rockfish River Rodeo returns to Nelson County for its fall show.

Star Wars Night at Lynchburg Hillcats game

Feel the “force” as the Lynchburg Hillcats take on the Fredericksburg Nationals on Friday during Star Wars Night at Bank of the James Stadium. All your favorite characters will be at the game, which starts at 6:30 p.m. at 3180 Fort Ave. Attendees are invited to dress in their favorite "Star Wars" costumes and the first 1,200 fans through the gates will receive a free Hillcats trucker cap.
