MOUNT PLEASANT, S.C. (WCBD) – A popular fast-food restaurant known for its fried chicken tenders could be coming to the Town of Mount Pleasant.

The town’s Design Review Board is set to review Wednesday preliminary plans for a new Zaxby’s restaurant off Highway 17 near Park West.

Specifically, the restaurant would be located along the forthcoming All American Boulevard, which will serve as a frontage road to US 17 between George Browder Boulevard and the roundabout on Park West Boulevard.

Proposed designs show the restaurant would utilize Zaxby’s new red, white, and blue aesthetics, and will be complete with a drive-thru and dining room.

Zaxby’s currently operates 11 locations in the tri-county region. This would mark the chain’s first in Mount Pleasant.
