It’s looking like a dynamic few days ahead for us here in the Rockford area and across northeast Illinois. We’re starting our forecast period with a mix of sunshine and clouds, and we’re keeping a close eye out for any stray showers or even a rumble of thunder that could pop up, especially later this afternoon. This system is expected to pivot around the Great Lakes region, bringing us a chance of some scattered showers and maybe a thunderstorm or two, particularly north of I-80, through Thursday.
