ASBURY PARK, N.J. (PIX11) -- Dramatic police body camera video captures the moment a boy jumped from a second-floor window to escape a house fire in Asbury Park, New Jersey, this week.
Two officers from the Asbury Park Police Department and a local neighbor rushed to the scene of the burning home at 510 Prospect Ave. on Monday, just before 9 a.m., where they found the 8-year-old boy screaming for help from the window.
Officers Dewitt Bacon and John Walsh could be heard yelling for the boy to push the window open as hard as he could until he was able to squeeze his legs through the opening.
"C'mon bro, c'mon," the officers and neighbor Joseph Dunbar yelled. "Just jump, we're right here!"
