MOORHEAD — Minnesota State Moorhead quarterback Jack Strand has experience with indoor football venues, the senior just hasn't played a game in a covered facility.

“I’ve never played in an actual game indoors," said Strand, from Bloomer, Wisconsin. “We’ve been kind of joking about it, I wish it was a little later in the year when it was colder out so we could get a nice indoor game.”

Strand will get his first chance to play indoors at 5 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 28, when the Dragons play Northern Michigan in the Superior Dome in Marquette, Michigan, in a nonconference season opener.

“That’ll be nice for sure to not have any wind because up here we’ve always got some sort of wind," Strand said. “That will be kind of nice.”
