EUGENE — Kingston Lopa offers unique size to Oregon’s defense. How the Ducks will utilize the 6-foot-5 defensive back this fall could vary.
Oregon turned to Lopa as a true freshman to matchup with Penn State’s Tyler Warren in last year’s Big Ten Championship game and though he did not record a statistic, fared well against the top tight end in the country.
“I ain’t even know much of him and I started watching him, I was like, ‘Oh, I got to get ready,’” Lopa said. “It was great seeing what I could do. It was a good experience, it helped me grow and to become a better player going against a guy like that and having the confidence coming up to the game.”
