FAIRFAX COUNTY, Va. (DC News Now) -- Fire investigators in Fairfax County are examining an air conditioner after a fire destroyed part of a house early Tuesday morning.
Around 1:45 a.m. on Aug. 26, the Fairfax County Fire and Rescue Department (FCFRD) responded to a fire in the 9600 block of Commonwealth Boulevard in Kings Park West.
There, crews located the fire in the back of the house and extinguished it.

A preliminary investigation determined that the fire broke out after an electrical issue in the air conditioner unit.
There were no reported injuries.
The estimated damages from the fire have not yet been released, and it is unclear if anyone was displaced.
