AT&T Inc. is spending $23 billion to buy certain wireless spectrum licenses from EchoStar Corp. in a deal announced on Aug. 26.
Dallas-based AT&T will add 50 Mhz of mid- and low-band spectrum to its network with the all-cash transaction, according to an announcement. The licenses being acquired by AT&T cover more than 400 markets across the U.S., encompassing nearly the entire country.
