FARGO — When the North Dakota State Gold Star Marching Band plays the school’s alma mater titled “The Yellow and The Green,” on Sept. 13, it may want to adjust the wording to the song a bit. Maybe add “white” to the lyrics.

For the first time since the early 1960s, NDSU will wear all-white uniforms when they take the field for the home opener against Southeast Missouri State. The school teased the look last week on social media and unveiled the full look on its X account Wednesday morning.

The jerseys have the usual shoulder striping of the home green tops, but the numbers are a metallic gold with "Bison" on the back typically where a last name would be.
