Labubus are the latest craze, and even Madonna, the Queen of Pop herself, had to bring back the Labubu theme for her twin daughters' 13th birthday party.

"Labubus are everywhere!!" Madonna wrote in a post on Instagram. "My Birthday cake was devoured, so I decided to bring them back for my twin daughter‘s 13th Birthday party!"

The twins, Stella and Estere, recently celebrated their birthday, which Madonna shared photos of in an Instagram post on Tuesday, Aug. 26.

The party featured waterslides, cowboy hats, trampolines, soccer, and of course, Labubus, which "had to be earned," Madonna stated in the post.

After a soccer game, however, these Virgo twins and other girls pictured each earned a Labubu.

Madonna, who celebrated her 67th birthday on Aug. 16, also shared a photo of her pink, eaten Labubu cake from her birthday, which held sparklers and wore a pink cone bra, inspired by Madonna's infamous look from the 1980s and 1990s. On the base, it says "Happy Birthday Madudu."

Labubus in the limelight

This isn't the first time an A-list celebrity has mentioned Labubus.

In May, Lizzo gave a shoutout to the Pop Mart's popular toy, Labubus, on a verse she rapped for a remix of the song "Whim Whamiee," by Pluto and Ykniece.

"Can't even outdress my Labubu," Lizzo rapped in a video she posted to Instagram during Memorial Day weekend.

Olivia Atwood, Simone Biles, and others have all joined in on the Labubu craze.

Lisa from BLACKPINK's obsession with Labubus was documented in a Vanity Fair interview, where the K-pop star confessed her "secret obsession" was blind boxes from Pop Mart, the retailer that sells Labubus.

Rihana and Dua Lipa have also been seen with Labubus, which helped give the toy a boost in popularity, Emily Brough, POP MART North America's head of licensing, previously told USA TODAY in a statement.

What is a Labubu?

Labubu is a doll that resembles a monster, featuring a large head, sharp teeth, and prominent eyes. The Labubu keychains everyone is obsessed with are furry and come in different colors, shapes and sizes.

Pop Mart has sold many Labubus, some shaped like shrimp tempura, carrying Coke products, dressed as pumpkins and more. There are also smaller Labubus, collectibles made of hard plastic, that can be displayed on shelves and as decoration.

Some people might say the doll looks a bit scary, while others think it’s downright adorable.

The majority of the Labubus are sold in blind boxes, which keep the item hidden until the customer opens it.

The doll was designed by Hong Kong artist Kasing Lung around 10 years ago, according to the Beijing-based toy maker Pop Mart, which sells the famous Labubu blind boxes.

But today, Labubus are sold worldwide, as part of the Pop Mart “The Monsters” line.
