NEW JERSEY (PIX11) -- Ahead of Labor Day weekend, the Port Authority has announced service changes for PATH trains and stations set to begin on Thursday.

The Hoboken PATH station will close for urgent track repairs beginning at 11:59 p.m. on Thursday and will last through 5 a.m. on Tuesday. Additionally, PATH trains will run on a modified Saturday schedule on Labor Day Monday.

To accommodate riders during the Hoboken station closure, PATH will offer free shuttle bus service between Hoboken, Newport and Exchange Place stations. Additional train service will also be offered between 33 St, World Trade Center, Exchange Place and Newport stations.

The 9 St and 23 St stations that normally close overnight will remain open from 11:59 p.m. Friday through 11:59 p.m. Monday. Overnight closures wi
