WHITE HALL, W.Va. (WBOY) — Two people were taken to the hospital on Monday after a collision involving a tractor trailer in Marion County.

The collision was near the intersection of Middletown Road and Tonkrey Drive in White Hall, and several people were entrapped in a pickup truck when first responders arrived, according to a post by the Valley Volunteer Fire Department.

Valley firefighters said that when they arrived, the pickup had caught fire and deputies with the Marion County Sheriff's Department were pulling the occupants out of the vehicle.

"The real heroes are the local Marion County Deputies along with Whitehall PD whose quick actions of a spontaneous vehicle fire worked to pull the drive from the vehicle as the fire was being extinguished," the Valley Volunteer Fire Departmen
