After tracking more than two dozen waterspouts across the Great Lakes from Sunday to Tuesday, more could be on the way, according to the National Weather Service and a nonprofit group that tracks and records the weather phenomena.

The Great Lakes had more than 25 confirmed fair-weather waterspouts/funnels — possibly more — on Sunday, Aug. 24, through Tuesday, Aug. 26, including on lakes Huron, Michigan, Ontario and Erie, according to reports by the International Centre for Waterspout Research.

Now, more could be on the way starting Wednesday night, Aug. 27, and continuing Thursday, Aug. 28.
