Western Michigan University has been named the top-rated education employer in Michigan, according to a Forbes list of America’s Best-In-State Employers 2025.

The university ranked 16th overall among 75 employers across various sectors, including technology, health care and automotive, according to a community announcement.

“This honor belongs to every faculty and staff member on campus and to their dedicated teamwork fostering a high-quality educational environment that empowers our students through holistic, experience-driven learning,” WMU President Russ Kavalhuna said in the announcement.
