CHARLES COUNTY, Md. (DC News Now) -- The Charles County Sheriff's Office announced that an arrest was made after a man was found shot multiple times in the chest in April.

On Aug. 22, detectives took 30-year-old Earl Tyree Porter, of Waldorf, into custody on several charges, including attempted murder.

The charges stemmed from a shooting that broke out on April 14 on October Place in Waldorf, where a man was shot in his chest repeatedly. He was taken to the hospital, where he survived his injuries.

As the investigation continued, detectives identified Porter as a primary suspect in connection with the case.
