KNOXVILLE, Tenn. (WVLT) - A Powell man is facing charges after police were told he rammed his car into the Augusta Quarry gate to leave after it had been locked.
The case centers on 28-year-old Christyan Thompson and is outlined in a police report obtained by WVLT News. According to the report, officers responded to Augusta Quarry around 11 a.m. Monday. There, they learned about what had happened the night before, the report said.
“[A witness] stated that a male, later ID’d as Christyan “Chris” Thompson, was inside the quarry after the front gate had been locked," the report said. “[The witness] stated that Thompson appeared to be ‘very drunk’ and wanted to drive his vehicle out of the lot.
