GRAND ISLAND, Neb. (KOLN) - A mother and son from the Scottsbluff area were among the many Nebraska 4-H volunteers to receive awards during a ceremony on the first weekend of the 2025 Nebraska State Fair.
Natalie Creech received an ‘Outstanding Adult Volunteer’ award and Hunter Creech received an ‘Outstanding Youth Volunteer’ award.
“We both received ‘Outstanding Volunteer Awards’ for our service in Scotts Bluff County,” Natalie said. “I am a club leader, a FIRST Lego League robotics coach, and we have both helped with a new pollinator garden outside our county courthouse.”
Hunter is also very involved. He said he works with his mom and family to help many 4-H’ers in the county, but he also takes part in outreach efforts to teach the community about STEM subjects, and he works to highli
