PORTLAND, Ore. (KOIN) — Portland’s top chef — no pun intended — has showcased some of the best restaurants across the city.

As part of Condé Nast Traveler’s “Where the Chefs Eat” series, Kann founder and “Top Chef” alum Gregory Gourdet visited three of his favorite local eateries: Akadi, Nodoguro and Paadee.

At Akadi, he ate West African fare like suya wings and jollof rice. Gourdet said Fatou Ouattara started serving similar cuisine out of her dorm room at Portland State University as a way to share her culture with friends and colleagues. She originally opened her restaurant in 2017.
