KANSAS CITY, Mo. - The University of Missouri announced students and fans will no longer be allowed to rush the field after wins, or else it will cost the school a hefty fine.

If fans and students do decide to rush the field, the school will be fined $500,000 by the SEC and the money will go directly to its opponent. This applies to court stormings during basketball season as well.

Mizzou has been fined on multiple occasions for storming the field and court in the past. They were fined $100,000 by the SEC back in 2023 after defeating Kansas State on a game-winning field goal and $250,000 after defeating Kansas in basketball in 2024.

Mizzou President Mun Y. Choi and Athletic Director Laird Veatch released the following statement on the new policy:
