STERLING, Va. (DC News Now) -- A Virginia congressman has introduced legislation to rename a Loudoun County post office after volunteer firefighter Trevor Brown, who died in a catastrophic home explosion over a year ago.
“Firefighter Brown touched so many lives in our community and made the ultimate sacrifice in service to it,” said Rep. Suhas Subramanyam (D-Va.-10), who introduced the legislation Tuesday. “This has been a hard time for his family, for our community, and for the Sterling Volunteer Fire Company. My hope is that when people see his name on this post office, they will remember the sacrifice he made and be inspired to serve the way he did.”
