Shasta-Trinity National Forest firefighters are actively engaged in the Peak Fire, located southeast of the Granite Peak summit and west of Trinity Lake.

Fire Activity: The fire, which started Monday afternoon, is estimated at 200 acres and is burning in steep, rugged, and remote terrain and is moving north toward Granite Peak. Most of the fire is currently within the Trinity Alps Wilderness.
